remove the timing belt, crankshaft sprocket, timing belt, guide flange to be able to replace the front oil seal. From below the left inner fender, check from where you installed the crankshaft oil seal is correct and using seal removing tool or flat head screwdriver you carefully remove the crankshaft oil seal, being very careful not to dent the oil pump housing or damaging the crankshaft. As for seal seat, clean it together with the seal in the oil pump housing and abrade the rough edges as they led to the first seal damages; if a groove appears on the crankshaft sealing surface, it will be impossible to stop the leak even with a new seal. Coat the lips of the new seal lightly with fresh engine oil to prevent sticking, centre the seal over the end of the crankshaft and gently hit it home to the specified depth with a hammer and socket so that the seal lips face each other compressing them. Last of all replace the timing belt guide flange, crankshaft sprocket, and the timing belt. Thus, the best practice for the rear oil seal is to remove the oil pan and the rear oil seal retainer; however, the technician can employ a less invasive approach as long as it does not harm the crankshaft sealing surface. First, it would help to raise the flywheel/driveplate and then gently push the old oil seal out of the housing with a seal puller or even a thin flat-head screwdriver while equally being careful not to harm the crankshaft. Finally, reinstall the flywheel/driveplate.
