1. Remove the steering wheel (see Chapter 10). 2. Remove the lower dash panel and steering column cover (see Chapter 11). 3. For 1994 and earlier models, remove the switch retaining screws, trace the wiring harness down the steering column to the connector, cut the wiring tiestrap (if equipped), disconnect the connector, and slide the switch up off the column. 4. For 1995 through 2005 models, disconnect the electrical connector, remove the three multi-function switch mounting screws, then slide the switch assembly off the steering column. (To remove the multi-function switch assembly on 1995 through 2005 models, disconnect the electrical connectors from the turn signal switch and from the windshield wiper/washer switch, then remove the three switch retaining screws and slide the switch assembly off the steering column.) 5. Installation is the reverse of removal.
