For 2005 and earlier models, start by disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal. Pry off the center trim panel using a screwdriver wrapped with tape or a trim stick, then disconnect the switch wiring as you pull it free. Remove the radio mounting screws, pull out the radio, and disconnect the electrical connectors from the radio assembly, with installation being the reverse of removal. For models from 2006 through 2010, remove the center narrow horizontal trim molding, which can be pried off but is also secured by two screws at the glove box. Remove the hazard warning light switch and the passenger airbag indicator, prying the panels off from the bottom and disconnecting the wiring harnesses. Remove the mounting screws from the audio unit, pull it out while disconnecting the wiring, and support the audio unit as you disconnect the antenna cable and wiring harnesses from the rear. For 2011 and later models, remove the center console upper trim panels from each side of the console, then use a plastic trim tool or a screwdriver wrapped with electrical tape to pry out the center instrument panel vents. Remove the radio unit mounting screws, pull the assembly forward, and disconnect the electrical connectors before removing the radio unit assembly, with installation being the reverse of removal. For door speakers, remove the door panel, carefully drill out the rivets securing the speaker to the door panel, pull the speaker out, and disconnect the wiring, with installation being the reverse of removal and rivets replaceable with large sheet metal screws. For front tweeters, pry off the outside mirror trim panel, disconnect the speaker wiring, and remove the speaker, with installation being the reverse of removal. For instrument panel mid-range speakers, carefully pry up the speaker grille, remove the speaker mounting screws, lift up the speaker, disconnect the electrical connector, and remove the speaker, with installation being the reverse of removal. For the rear woofer, remove the rear seat, take out the rear package tray, disconnect the speaker wiring, remove the four speaker mounting screws, and lift it out, with installation being the reverse of removal.
