For 2.4L four-cylinder models, the sensor is located on the driver's end of the cylinder head for 2007 and earlier engines, while 2010 and later models have two sensors on each side of the valve cover towards the driver's end. For 3.5L V6 models, the sensor is mounted under the timing belt cover near the exhaust camshaft sprocket for 2007 and earlier models, while 2010 and later engines have four sensors, two on each valve cover. Disconnect the negative battery terminal, remove the timing belt cover for 2007 and earlier models to access the sensor, or remove the engine cover for 2010 and later models. Disconnect the sensor electrical connector, remove the sensor mounting bolt(s), and installation is the reverse of removal.
