Finally, the MAP sensor of 2007 and later models is situated at the rear of the engine, and it is connected to the upper intake manifold via a vacuum hose Te disturbances of the vacuum hose feed back to the MAP sensor and alter the input of the ECM; models 2001 through 2006 do not have this sensor. Next, disconnect the vacuum hose from the sensor on 2006 and later models. After that, remove the mounting screw(s) and detach the sensor, with installation being the reverse of removal.

Remove the mounting bolts and lift the EGR valve off.

1. Disconnect the wiring/vacuum hose connections from the sensor. 2. Remove the mounting screws and lift off the sensor.

Loosen the hose clamps and remove the MAF sensor from the air intake ducts. Handle the sensor carefully.
