    Q:
How to disconnect and remove the MAP sensor on Hyundai Santa Fe? Posted by Customer
    A:
Finally, the MAP sensor of 2007 and later models is situated at the rear of the engine, and it is connected to the upper intake manifold via a vacuum hose Te disturbances of the vacuum hose feed back to the MAP sensor and alter the input of the ECM; models 2001 through 2006 do not have this sensor. First, remove the cable of one of the battery terminals, particularly, the negative terminal. Following this, unscrew the vacuum hose from a sensor, then the mounting screws as you pull the sensor of. When installing, do it the reverse of how it was removed.

    Q:
How to replace the MAP sensor on Hyundai Sonata? Posted by Customer
    A:
The sensor is attached to the rear of the upper intake manifold on 1999 through 2005 engines, while on 2006 and later V6 models, it is located at the rear of the engine and connected to the upper intake manifold by a vacuum hose. Notably, 2006 through 2010 four-cylinder engines do not utilize a MAP sensor. To begin, disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Next, disconnect the vacuum hose from the sensor on 2006 and later models. After that, remove the mounting screw(s) and detach the sensor, with installation being the reverse of removal.
