Due to the very limited space through which the steering pump can be reached in majority of models, anything in the way must be removed or disconnected in order to gain access to the steering pump in your particular model of vehicle. First dem attach the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Attach a container and a large syringe or suction gun to the fluid and pump out as much as you can from the power steering fluid reservoir; underneath the car, put the drain pan to collect the fluids dripping from the hose after their removal. Jack up the vehicle and support it with jackstands, then remove the wheel and the fender splash shield. Next, remove the drivebelt. Disconnect the fluid suction hose in relation to the pump and pull the electrical connector of the power steering pressure switch. Relieve the hydraulic pressure and unscrew the pressure line that is connected to the pump; make sure not to lose the seals, and then unbolt the pump. For installation simply reverse the procedure of removal and tighten the mounting bolts to the manufacturers recommended torque, also adjust the tension of the drive belt to required level. And at last, fill up the fluid in the reservoir and then discharge out the fluid in the system.
