The protection of the electrical circuits of the vehicle is carried out through fuses, circuit breakers, and fusible links; its fuse block is located at the left end of the instrument panel and in the engine compartment. For the vehicles produced after 2011, the place of the internal fuse box is under the upper right corner of the instrument panel. Protection of each circuit is done by the use of individual fuses, and this is illustrated on the fuse part panel cover. Miniature fuses are used in the fuse blocks and if an electrical device is dead, the first thing is to check the fuse; using a test bulb to check for live at the tips of each fuse is efficient. Some circuits contain the fusible links that take over when a circuit is not fused, for instance, the high-current side of the charging or starting circuits. Previous inline fusible links which have a kind of bulge in the midst of cable have already been removed and replaced by recently developed cartridge-type fusible links which bear a great resemblance to large cartridge fuses and are located in their own fusible link blocks found within the fuse and relay box of the engine compartment. After disconnecting the cable from negative terminal of battery, fusible link can be pulled of and replaced by another one of the similar amperage.

Always disconnect the battery before replacing a main fuse. The main fuse is located in the engine compartment fuse box. When replacing a main fuse, ensure that you install a replacement unit that is equivalent to the old fuse. For example, if the old main fuse is an 80A unit, replace it with an 80A fuse; if it's a 100A unit, replace it with a 100A fuse. Do not switch amperage ratings on the main fuse!
