To remove the engine cooling fan, start by disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. On 2011 and later models, you will also need to remove the battery and battery tray. On 2006 and later models, remove the air intake duct. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the wiring mounting bracket if equipped. Then, remove the fan/shroud mounting fasteners and lift out the fan assembly. Hold the fan blades and remove the fan retaining nut or clip, followed by removing the fan blade. Finally, remove the fan motor from the fan shroud.
